My most recent art endeavor has me thinking "Green"...that is focusing on  the opportunity to integrate more recycling practices into my art.  As one of twenty-eight artists participating in the FLAUNT 2012 Juried Show in my hometown of Thomasville, Georgia, ( in addition to creating and exhibiting my  fine art oil paintings) I was challenged to create a "dress" utilizing recycled refuse sent to me by my corporate sponsor "Keep Thomas County Beautiful".  My creative thoughts  exploded as I considered the box of refuse containing empty soft drink cans, various computer parts, extension cords, bubble wrap, etc. My resulting "dress" a "Victorian Masquerade Ball Gown" may be viewed in person now thru Sept. 29th at EarthLover (108 N. Broad -Downtown Thomasville, GA).  A photo of this "dress" in also on the homepage of my website. One person's garbage can truly become another person's art. Join me in thinking "Green".
